There is one columnist who draws peple like flies. She rarely lists anyone as a favourite columnist but many people list her as a favourite columnist. She rarely answers questions from the pool but she still gets tonnes of inboxes.Once someone told her not to drink snd she told them to mind their own business. She got an apology and even a rating of five for being rude. When I told someone to mind their own business I was yelled at by her and told not to be so rude.Dale Carnegie who said in his book titled "How to make friends and influnce people that people like people who make them fell important and appear to like them. She contradictcts him.Why do people love her so much? How can I be like her and make people like me?This is her advice column-[Link](Mouse over link to see full location)

So, let me just say that I'm really surprised to see this question.

I used to write here a LOT and people seemed to think I was nice and that I gave good advice. Also, I was never rude to anyone who asked me a legitimate question. The question you mentioned was not answered rudely. I was just up front about it. I said I didn't care what people thought, and I don't.

I don't know what else to say.

She does have that I'm great,I'm a celibrity thing going. She is very glamourous and cares a lot about her appearance and stuff because she feels she's worth it because she is so great. When she feels and acts so important.people start to believe she is that.Dale carnegie said if you make people feel important, they will like you.She makes herself seem important. When people are on the good side of an important person they feel important. She says she drinks like it is something special so she tells people not to be grandmas and let her drink be she is so wonderful and she can drink underage so people should sop bugging her and join the "good side".She is just a self-promoting celebrity. She actually thinks she is important enough to put up her pics on the internet for strangers to see.SHE ACTS LIKE SHE IS A CELIBRITY SO SHE DETS TREATED LIKE ONE.

She did answer questions from the pool. She hasn't updated her column in over a year.

Almost all inbox questions to her...examples, How much do you weight, I love your sunglasses, where do you shop, were probably asked by friends. The biggest majority of them would be considered chatting now, which gets users banned.

The site has undergone a lot of changes since she was here last. Maybe she didn't like the changes.
If she was rude to anyone today, or chatted on her column with friends (or not friends) she would be banned.

Also just so you know this, inbox questions do not count toward your column rating. You have to answer pool questions to be rated.

Legitimate inbox questions usually either liked a previous answer you gave them, or they want you to give them more info on something you answered for them.

Honestly, you don't want a column like that. You wouldn't have it very long if you did. :)

FYI EDIT: Maybe I hinted to much and didn't come right out with it. She is no longer here. If she were, she would have been banned for her smart remarks. The site has a new owner since she had a column. Emulate her all you want to, but your column will not be on the site for long. So why on earth would you want to be like her? Thats all I'm saying. You want to treat people like dog crap...more power to you. :)

I don't know much about Lorelei, but I imagine she made friends by being friendly, nice, and just being herself. You can't make people like you, it doesn't work like that. If your yourself and having a good time, people will notice you for being a confident person and want to get to know you. But asking a question like this, is not a good way to try to get friends (or attention for that matter).

So stop worrying if people like you. And is it really that important to be liked on a website? No one really knows you anyway and in the end, the friendships only account for a piece of cyberspace.
