Coconut Oil-for soft hair..

Question Posted Friday March 30 2007, 12:10 am

I have a friend who recently travelled to India, and brought me back some little jars of coconut oil.. she says it is common to usecan in your hair as a conditioner. Should I use it after shampooing on wet hair, then rinse out? Or is there another method?

After shampooing your hair, use the coconut oil as a conditioner and rinse it out. Or if you'd like, you can put in on towel dried hair -- and it will work the same.

hmm, since it's oil, i'd say your hair has to be dry to use it. oil and water don't mix, so if you put it in wet hair you would never be able to get it out! so shampoo and condition your hair normally, and then wait until your hair dries. to be on the safe side, only use a little bit, and on a day that you won't have to go to school in case something goes wrong. i would think that you just use it like once a week, on dry hair, and then once the oil dries in your hair you can wash it out. try it and see.
