Well, that is IF you can eat 900 apples a day, because I think you'll probably become sick after the first 15 or 20.
Anyways, fruits are high in sugar and of course you'll gain weight from all those excess amounts of sugar you are intaking. And it is bad for your pancreas since it has to secrete insulin constantly for to maintain a regular sugar level in your blood. It will wear out eventually from secreting all that insulin. Which will eventually lead to pancreas damage and possibly diabetes. That is the worst scenerio.
Vegetables and fruits are good for you yes, but it doesn't help to just eat them everyday. You will not have enough proteins and carbs in your body making you weak and tired. Also too much vitamins gets stored as fat if it is not used. ]
Eating 900 of anything in one day would make you gain weight.
Apples are actually very light. On average, they have 60-80 calories, and if they're peeled, they have even less.
Fruits have sugars, yes, but not many calories. Vegetables have less sugar than fruits, so I think eating vegetables is a better solution to losing weight than eating fruits.
Don't forget: vegetables are very low in calories, but once you add butter or fry them, they can become fattening. ]
It depends on the fruit or vegetable. Apples for example have a lot of sugars in them so yes, too many apples can make you fat because you are storing excess sugar, which turns to fat. But celery for example you can pretty much eat all day and still won't put on weight, you're expending more energy consuming it than it gives you in kilojoules. Potatoes, for example, also a vegetable, are high in starch and carbohydrates so they will make you fat if you eat too much. It's all about moderation and knowing what foods do to your body. If you're concerned about how much you should be eating, the accepted rule for fruits and veges is five handfuls a day - so say, one apple, an orange, a handful of raisins and two potatoes is a healthy amount. ]
They're not fattening but they've got sugars or whatever so they can store fat. If you ate 900 apples, you'd probably get really sick. ]
If you ate 900 apples a day you'd probably die. Or at least get the runs for about a week straight.
They're not fattening, no. But they do containa lot of natural sugars, which give you energy and, in theory, could be stored in your body as fat. But eat your fruits and veggies, they've very good for you.
Eating your veggies doesn't a fat person make, put it that way. ]
