Question Posted Friday March 23 2007, 4:29 pm

I MAY have left a tampon in, and accidentially put another one in while the first was still in but i am not sure. I know that's horrible but is there a way to see if one is still in? Would the string be hanging out still? Help =/

If you don't see a string or can't feel it, go to the doctor or emergency room. A tampon left in can cause toxic shock syndrome. :)

I have dwont his before on accident and i just looked and there were 2 strings so just look and try to pull one of them out and then pull hte other. It may hurt afterwards but its fine., it doesnt hurt that bad i dont think. but just look and pull which ever one you see and then try to get the other one out.

hey

take your second tampon out. the first one's string might barely be showing, but the only way to make sure there's nothing still in there is to just stick your fingers up and move in a circular motion to allow the string to get curled up on your finger so you can remove it.

be careful

- hope i helped

hey, well that has happend to me twice without even realizing it. what happened was, when i felt it was time to change my tampon [at this time i never knew anything about the second one being in] i took it out and the [sorry if this is graphic] blood from the 2nd tampon that i put it got stuck to the string from the first tampon and they pulled out together. i would take it out immediately and see if that happens to you. if it doesnt even tho its gross, you need to stick your fingers up there and check for one. you need to do that because tampons can get stuck in there and the strings also, and then you will need an operation to get it out.
