i hate my job with a passion. Like i seriously get depressed thinking about going to work. I get yelled at all the time, i work ith none of my friends, everyone i work with is so annoyingly bossy and takes there job TOOOO seriously. I like the job because its the only one that will revolve around my schedule plus i make about 35 bucks a night on tips and 6 bucks an hour ontop of that so im making about 60 bucks a night for 5 hours work. What would you do? would you quit? Would you try harder? PLUS i always get yelled at cuz everyone thinks i suck..

All you can do in your current position is either quit if it gets to be too much, or just stay there and do nothing at all. People are stupid and they're not gonna change. You don't have to get angry or upset at them, just brush everything off. If they yell at you, hey, you know you're doing a great job and guess what? You're still getting paid so it's not like their words can affect you unless you let them hurt you emotionally. If you really sucked as bad as they seem to think, you would have been fired by now. I really think you should look for a new job. You're in such an awful situation. You don't have to quit this one to look. Just be careful though. If people at your current job find out you're searching for a new one they may be even less pleasant to you. Good luck! <3 [ sizzlinmandolin's advice column | Ask sizzlinmandolin A Question ]

Since you are only in your teens, I'm sure you don't plan on working there for the rest of your life. Everyone has crappy jobs. It's just something you have to do. Just look at the positive sides of it: 1) you're making GREAT money and 2) you won't be there forever and 3) it doesn't cut into your daily schedule.
If you are upset about people yelling at you, make an appointment with your boss and tell him/her that it makes you really upset when they yell. At most, he/she will point out some things you could change while you're working to do a better job and then tell the other people to leave you alone. If you are a good worker, your boss will take care of this because he/she wouldn't want you to quit.
I do agree that no one deserves to be yelled at constantly while they're simply trying to earn a living, but instead of quitting, talk with your co-workers and see if you can work through the issues and then keep your well-paying job. [ sugarplum07's advice column | Ask sugarplum07 A Question ]
mn731 answered Wednesday March 14 2007, 2:35 am: Personally, I would quit because I wouldn't want to keep feeling like total crap. If everyone thinks you suck, then why stay at your job if you're going to suffer? If you dread going to work, then why go at all? My suggestion would be to look for another job..SURELY, there's another job out there that can work out according to your schedule...maybe the pay won't be the same, maybe the people won't be the same, but a new environment may be good for your emotional health:)You don't have to put up with those frigid co-workers.
