How to test ADD/ADHD?

Question Posted Wednesday March 14 2007, 12:14 am

I really want to know if I have ADD/ADHD....According to every online test I do..or it's likely that I do. My parents dont want to bring me to a phycologist. So how could I find out for sure?!?!?!

You should beg and plead that your parents let you go to a doctor to get screened. That's the only way. The internet isn't reliable anymore.

Don't self-diagnose. If online tests are right, then I have an IQ of 172... I happen to know it's only 146.

Go see your family doctor, or a guidance counsellor at school. Your doctor may be able to get you a referral to a therapist or psychiatrist.

You should talk to a guidance counselor at school. They can point you to the right resources and might be able to help you get diagnosed properly.
