Do i have a disease???

Question Posted Friday February 23 2007, 7:14 pm

Ok, so im 18 and my boyfriend is also, we've been together for almost a year (11 months). We were both virgins when we 1st had sex with each other in march 2006 and have had it casually like every other month since then. It seems as though i have a discharge all the time like im going to have my period, its white, and a little pasty and sometimes mucusy but i dont kno if that just my body getting used to having sex...will it go away? becasue its been like this for like 4 months, and like twice it has been very itchy on the inside of my labias and when that happens the discharge is more brown pasty. I havent had a fever or feel sick at all and my boyfriend says he hasnt had anything wrong like itchy or discharge or anything that on his area.....????

I know this question is pretty old but it seems like no one's suggested this yet... from your description it seems like you probably have a yeast infection. If neither you or your boyfriend have been messing around/have previously done stuff with other people then it's really unlikely that you've got an STD, they don't just magically appear. A yeast infection often makes the inside of your labia and around/in your vagina itchy and you can get really thick white, yellowish and/or brownish discharge (more than just the stuff most girls get before their period). You should probably go to an OB/GYN- if it is a yeast infection they can get you a pill or cream that will make it clear up really fast (no more itching or gross discharge) and if it's something worse they'll be able to tell you.

Discharge is normal. It's always gonna be there, and it's probably never gonna go away. Don't worry about it. You're not diseased. Every girl has discharge.

No, I believe that happends when your getting used to having sex, Unless your bf has a disease and didnt tell you and gave you the disease if not its natural I belive it a discharge but to make sure I suggest you look it up on the internet Im really not that sure it seems pretty normal to me because some people bleed during sex(popping the cherry) to make sure please go to the doctor and ask him/her if you are negative of any diseases

If your boyfriend doesn't have any werid symptoms then I think you're fine.As long as he doesn't have STD or anything like that to start with, then I think everything is okay.

The discharge you have right now, seems awfully like a yeast infection. No worries ,it's quite normal for girls to have it. It's not a deadly disease or anything, its the way your body cleans down there..Yeast infection is very hard to get rid of. Go to your doctor and get medicine for it. If you want a pill then your doctor will most likely give you fluconazole. Its only one pill ,and after that your infection should be gone. If not there is different type of medicine like apo-amoxi. You can also get a creme for it too.

Since you already have an intercourse, it can be baterial infection. It is quite similiar to a yeast infection . Sometimes doctors can't make sure which one is which ,so they'll give u a swap testing, it won't hurt. The medicine is also quite similar to a yeast infection. Tell your doctor what type of medicine you would like to get. Taking a pill or creme or even something else that your body can handle.Take what will help you cure it fast and easy, but it depends on what type of medicine your body usually gets along with. Get advice from your doctor or pharmist to pick the medicine that is right for you. Good luck. I hope you feel better!

hey, well how about going to the gyno? they will definately know what is up. a lot of discharge is normal as long as its not discolored. however, brown discharge is not. this might gross, but its for your own health -- how does it smell? if it smells normal, thats a plus. if it doesnt i definately encourage to make an appointment with the gyno. i already strongly tell you to because of the discoloration tho.
