Silly

Question Posted Thursday February 22 2007, 8:38 pm

WHy is that many times people do not read the question (or story) and give answers that do not make any sense. I mean many times in the story that is posted gives a clear understanding of the answer that should be given and you get an answer that is just plain silly.

It has been said many times by users here that they just don't like long questions. And most don't like stories either. They tend to become confusing especially if they use a lot of names or repeat things over and over.

Sometimes if you break it into sections like I just did it makes the reading easier to follow and people don't get as confused.

Basically most people will only answer if it is short and to the point.

Hey. I totally hear where you're coming from. A lot of times people just like to be able to say they've answered SO many questions but they really don't care if they Truly helped you or not. They skim through the questions if they're too long and often give very simple answers which can be quite annoying for the person asking them. This is why I try to read the question as best I can and give deep thought into it so I can really help the person as do a lot of other people who are great columnists. I really hope this helped a little =)

I don't know, I guess there are alot of answers to this qustion, but some people think they can get the jist of it, by skimming through it, and then they only get part of it. It's really annoying I know, so I try to read through everything well so that I can give the best answer, but I guess for every good answer you get to a question you'll get like 4 bad answers. Or you'll get 4 of the exact same answer which is almost just as bad.
It also depends on peoples perspective, like some people will read something and totally get the wrong idea. It all depends on who you are and your beliefs, but I totally hear you.
