my boyfriend has mono and im wicked worried
So yeah as you can see from the title my boyfriend has mono. When i found out i was wicked upset. I didnt give it to him and im getting tested for it next week because when he had it and we didnt know i madeout with him, but thats not the point. Im so scared somethings going to happen. I know he can die from this but im so confused. Everyone is telling me different stuff and like now im not sure how he can die. And like i've been like really upset and miserable since i found out on monday and i talked to him and he says hes in a lot of pain and ive been trying to pretend like he doesnt have it and treat him normally on the phone. My mom and my friend told me that he's going to be alright but they dont know that. Everytime i bring it up to my friend she says hes fine and starts talking about some guys she likes. Im getting really annoyed. And im getting wicked scared that im going to lose him. But are not showing or telling anyone this.
Am i over reacting?
How could mono kill?
Im not really sure of anything at this point
Im worried, scared, confused

im in band and every marching season i get mono. its not a big deal. im out for a while because im so exhausted and ive known so many people that have had it and have been fine. He will be fine. i have never heard of anyone dying of mono.

my sister had mono for a couple weeks, and she was fine afterwards. your not nessicarily overreacting, but try not to get overly upset about it, he should be fine. the only way mono can kill someone if if theyr up and doing things, like sports or similar things, because theyr organs are weak, so if they get hit in theyr stomach, theyr organs can rupter. if he's being careful and staying in bed, he should be fine.

-you cant do much. just pray for him and pray for his family and pray that you can get through this. talk about to people you find will support you and will help you. i kno someone who had mono but calm down, most likely everything will turn up fine. continue talking to your bf too and tell him that your really worried about him because he might think that your not worried or dont care. dont spend all your time about it because it might make you upset.

my friend has had mono for 3 months so far~your over reacting a little~mono can kill you if you do sports or get hit because something inside you could burst like your spleen or something~if its a really bad case he'll have it for a while~if not about a month he'll be fine~it makes them reeally tired so the more you sleep the quicker its over~just talk to him over the phone~well to make you feel better most people only get it once so now he can get it over with so thats a good thing~he'll be fine~hope i helped
