i've had my nose pierced since the beggining of december and ever since i switched my ring to a smaller size (i couldn't get the 18g in because all the curves and stuff. too difficult and it hurt really bad) it keeps getting t his bubble constantly on the side of my nose. like right beside my nose ring. and when i think it's going to go away it decides to come back. i clean it with hydrogen peroxide about 2-3 times a day. and it never seems to go away.. doe anyone know how to treat this or what the hell it is? thanksss =]

It's called a "nostril bump" and could be caused through the jewelry irritating your piercing/accidently knocking it when you don't remember/cleaning it too much.. basically, they are quite common. and SUCH a pain to totally get rid of. I popped mine (it's not recommended, but mine went away for months. Back now though after it took a nasty hit last night!!)
I suggest you change your jewelry again and apply tea tree oil a few times a day. It does help. If you want to risk popping it, do it. It might bleed, but when the scab falls off it will be okay. Please don't forget to steralize everything if you choose this option.. or it will become infected.

Better to be safe than sorry. Whatever you do, however, don't just take the ring out and hope it goes away--right now, the infection (if it's that) can drain, but if it closes over because you don't leave the ring in, it could be even more trouble. ASAPcamille answered Sunday February 18 2007, 1:07 pm: go to the place that pierced it. they can give you a treatment antibiotic. if it doenst work after that... keep putting hydrogen peroxide on it...and if you still have the ring in, twirl it around a few times every day. if it lasts for awhile, or causes severe pain, go to the doctors. they will do something about it!
