Always dress a step-up from the job uniform for an interview. So, don't wear a business suit, but aim for nice pants and a nice top. ]
You show the employer how much you want the job and how you will perform once you get it by how you present yourself.
Since it is a BBQ restaurant, I would go with a nicely put together casual look. Nice slacks, nice shirt. You don't have to be too dressy, but look nice and presentable. If you are a girl, no need to wear a skirt and hose. A guy, no need to button up to the throat and wear a tie. You can look very nice without having to overdress. But don't under dress. Jeans would fall into that category as well as t shirts. ]
i don't really know if you're a girl or a guy, but if i were you i would wear nicer pants (like khakis or something) and for guys: a button-up shirt and for girls: a nice, cute top (button-up will work here too). i'd wear nicer pants to the interview (and a nice shirt), and once you get the job you can probably wear jeans. not really sunday clothes, but nice-casual. ]
i wouldn't wear jeans to an interview, even if employees do wear them. why?? because they already have the job. you're just interviewing. you should probably wear a nice shirt [meaning long sleeve sweater, shirt, not too revealing, somewhat casual] & either black pants or tan khahki's. that's just for the interview though. you want to make a good impression, even if it's just a hometown bbq restauraunt. good luck!
