theymos answered Wednesday February 14 2007, 11:50 pm:
You can manually change the colors by pressing the advanced button at display properties>appearance tab. If you want to download new themes(which include pre-made color schemes) follow this guide:
-download this file:
[Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
-go to C:windowssystem32utxtheme.dll and RENAME that file to utxtheme.dll.old (put .old at the end).
-move the file you just downloaded(which is utxtheme.dll) into C:windowssystem32
-restart the computer
-go to a site like [Link](Mouse over link to see full location) and download some themes! More theme sites:
only search advicenators.com

Often you will have to run an EXE, which will put .theme files in system folders. The theme is usually available in desktop properties>themes. If it isn't, double click the .theme file or read the readme. Some theme sites don't give you .theme files, and want you to buy an application: don't, just use a different site.
