Hey.I am so sorry.It must feel alwful.Now you know that your dad loves you and dosnt mean to hurt you and there is no way I am going to say what he has done is right but you need to talk to your dad.Theres something going on with him to because parents just dont forget.He's probarbly having a rough time and i think you just talk to him and have a good long talk - you might already do this but you need to become FRIENDS.This way everythings remembered,out in the open and your feelings and his feeling come out too...Dont ignore him because he puts a roof over your head, be appreciative - not that Im saying your not.This happened to someone I know too, you should just in future plan things with your mates and go out together.Talk to your dad and make him a nice meal and sit with talk.You'll feel better.

Try not to worry about it. It absolutely doesn't mean he doesn't love you, it just means he forgot the date. You know how it is sometimes when you have to double check what date it is and it is a totally different day than it really was? Well that's probably all that is happening

You Dad is a guy and they always forget. Plus, he's human - and we all make mistakes.

Forgive, forget and don't expect him to remember next year. Usually, I cal my Dad on my birthday and give him a heads up.

I assume you are a girl?

Listen, dads are guys. Guys tend to have a hard time remembering dates. Ever heard of a guy forgetting his wedding anniversary or his wife's birthday? It happens. It's not a fault, it's just that guys generally don't tend to recall all of life's little details like women/girls do.

So that could be a part of it. Also, he may have a lot going on in his head and life right now. Where as it is only you and your dad, he has a lot of responsibility to keep track of on a daily basis on his own. Not saying you don't do your part, but saying that he has a lot of adult responsibilities to take care of.

The man said he was sorry. I'm sure that he is sincere in his apology. He likely didn't want to forget his daughter on her special day. Honestly? He likely feels like shit enough for forgetting, not once, but twice in a row. Don't grind his nose in it and make him feel worse about it.

Happy late birthday :]
<p>

Parents' make mistakes and I know that it's hard for you to get over this. I'm sure that your dad knows how you feel about this, but talk to him again and maybe asking him why he forgot your birthday would help you understand better. Parents' have a lot on their minds and they have a lot of things to do so don't take it to heart. My feelings would be hurt too, but just talk to your dad. It'll make you feel better.

sorry to hear that. talk to your dad about it & let him know how you feel. you're right, he should remember because it is your birthday, but you also have to remember that everyone makes mistakes & no one is perfect. just talk to him about it & explain how it hurt you & what not. he probably won't forget it next year or forget anything else if you talk to him.

-hope that helped!&hearts;
