Mine did the EXACT same thing. Turns out it was a mechanical defect or something. It was covered under the warranty and I just got a new one at the store I bought it. Make sure you have all the stuff that came in the box, and the original receipt if possible. If it was a gift, just to to customer service and explain the problem. If it still looks new (so that they don't think you're screwing them over trading in a 2 year old camera) they'll probably exchange or fix it for free.

Before you go to the store though, check to make sure the dial isn't in between modes (camera, landscape, movie, etc). That may be the only problem,

Also make sure you're putting the batteries in the right way. Sounds stupid, but I've done that more than once haha.

If you DO bring it somewhere, make sure you take out the memory card. Because if you don't, you'll probably never see it again. Just a heads up :)

I dearly hope this doesn't sound condescending because it's not intended to.

I have a Kodak digital camera and to see picture, I need to press the "okay" button that's on it. You might have to do something similar.

If you have, and it doesn't work, definitely get it looked at. Depending on when you got it, it might be under warranty.

You might also try taking a look at the website; there might be a recall, or something under frequently asked questions.

Hope you get it working!

I have one of those. Expensive camera... I would suggest taking it in and having it looked at. Before that though, check your manual for trouble shooting tips. It may be a simple problem. However if it isn't it is definitely worth getting repaired.

make sure your camera is on the right setting, meaning like if its turned to view mode or picture mode. every camera is different so im not sure which one is correct. test that a few times. if it doesnt work then i'd suggest getting it looked at.

-hope that helped!♥
