Well, it is your chose to drink, so it isn't your falut that your ex-friend doesn't like you. I suggest don't go out to often, and just explain to your friend that you aren't doing anthing silly, and wouldn't think of it. An also explain that you really do want her back as a friend, and that she is more than welcome to come out with you for a SMALL drink.
If this doen't work-go onto my colum and post a question- i will get straight back to you-I PROMISE!
Good Luck!!

I had the same problem a while back... just don't do it anymore or really control it. don't get drunk off your ass and don't have guys around to do anything stupid with. anything else, lemme know. <3 [ LoveNJstyle's advice column | Ask LoveNJstyle A Question ]
not_your_star34 answered Sunday January 28 2007, 12:08 am: I think you're misunderstanding her. It's not that she doesn't like you two, she just doesn't like the fact that you drink. So, there isn't anything you can do to get her to be friends with you again, other than to stop.
You need to get your priorities straight. What's more important, alcohol (which you don't need to have fun) or a great friendship?
Your friend probably has good intentions. She doesn't want to see her friends hurt because of their drinking.
She also might be afraid that you'll offer her a drink, or that she'll be caught with you two drinking. (And yes, even if she's not drinking and you're caught, she WILL get in trouble as well.)
Plus, do you know how hard drunk people are to deal with? You have to watch them constantly so they don't get in trouble. Honestly, who wants to do that all the time?
You say that you don't get dangerous with it, but if you think that alcohol is needed to have fun, it could easily turn into a dangerous addiction.
Brandi_S answered Saturday January 27 2007, 11:55 pm: Hmmm... 12 shots? At your size? VERY DANGEROUS! Ever hear of alcohol poisoning? It can cause DEATH. At your size, drinking 12 shots in, say, 3-4 hours time, is putting yourself at a high risk of needing to seek medical attention.
It is really too bad you call her your former best friend. Sounds to me like she is the truest friend one can find. She is only looking out for your best interests, your health, and your life.
She gave you a choice to be her friend or drink. You chose the drink? Not wise. Nope, not wise AT ALL.
My advice? You won't like it, and I don't care if it pisses you off. QUIT DRINKING. Period.
A pat on the back from afar to your former friend for caring enough about you to end your friendship in order to try to convince you to do the right thing. [ Brandi_S's advice column | Ask Brandi_S A Question ]
rick505 answered Saturday January 27 2007, 11:32 pm: your former best friend has better since than you do. She does not drink and doesn't want to hang out with those that do. Why? you know the answer and I don't want to preach. Just remember that all the people who do stupid shit while drinking had the exact same attitude you do until the first time something stupid happens. askkatie answered Saturday January 27 2007, 11:24 pm: Okay, I'm going to take a wild guess and say your underage? Point is, you should not be drinking! This is what your former best fried is thinking. She's probably watching you and your friend getting drunk, or just drinking and not liking your behavior.
Listen to your friend, she has your best intrests at heart.
Also you said you never get dangerous with it.. with your body type short and very, very thin, 12 shots IS dangerous!!!
There are soo many reasons why you should quit drinking, do I really need to name them off for you?
Just listen to your friend, she really does care about you and doesn't want to see you get hurt.
I hope you make the right choice.
