well if you cant touch your toes than it might take a while but you nhave to streach every day & even if it hurts alot you still need to push your self or you will never get it

You have to start off small...otherwise you will hurt yourself...NEVER try to go to a full split the first time...Do a couple of excericises, warm your muscles up...You know...that kind of stuff...

Then VERY slowly...go down on a slippery surface, and put a pillow on the ground (or tile w/e) and try to stretch down to the pillow. If you reach it...stay in the same position.

Another good thing to try is to: Okay so go against a clear wall. lay down...and spread your legs apart (you can do it forward or backward) an start pushing with your arms, towards the wall, so that your legs are spread as you are going towards the wall. The wall is like your ground..but the opposite way.

:) I've been doing ballet...and I have to say...this pretty much works. But remember dear....Stretch EVERY day...little by little, and you will complete a full split in 3 weeks or maybe less. :) Hope I've helped...and I hope you finally get it. :)

You have to keep just stretching everyday. My mom was a ballerina and she said thats what you do to get the splits. Just stretch for them everyday. Go into the split position and stretch as far down as you can go (without wanting to cry haha or feeling like your legs are going to pop out) then hold it for a few seconds. Stretch out other ways too, like touching your toes, doing the splits the other way, sitting in a V with your legs apart, etc. If your not flexiable it will take longer then someone who is. It should hurt at first some because your muscles arnt used to being stretched there as much, but after you keep doing it alot your muscles should be familar with it. Hope this helped

Whoot! Splits are quite fun. but then again I'm pretgty flexible. Okay, first off you need to start streching a lot, once you can touch your toes and then the floor then you might be ready. Going into spligt position go down as far as you can and hold it for atleast 15 seconds, do this everyday and soon you will be able to do the splits. I say give it atleast a week.
