confused about me
This might sound like a strange question, but i'm confused. Alot of people say i'm "pretty" or "beautiful" and it's usually from adults. I know alot of people say that to be nice but one day I walked into a room where my parents were having a party and my mom said as soon as I left they all said i'm so beautiful. But when I look in the mirror sometimes, or I see a picture of me, I really don't think i'm that pretty. I mean, I admit i'm not ugly, but sometimes I just feel like I don't look like that. Also sometimes when I DO feel pretty, like when I dress up for a party, it's when I look in the mirror, but when I see a picture of me i'm like woah i look disgusting. Sometimes I look at myself and I look decent, then I look in another bathroom mirror like at a resteraunt and I think my nose looks big or my skin looks hideous. And also I liked so many boys but no one has asked me out? I don't know if it's cause i'm too shy? Boys talk to me and flirt and stuff but no one has liked me or asked me out! All my friends that are average people not stunning or have wonderful personalities have been liked by a boy. I mean I have been liked by boys in like elementary school but, um that doesn't count. I think boys don't like me because I have a boring personality, and maybe it's cause i'm kinda ugly! But I don't think it's that cause most of my friends just look average and boys have had major crushes on them. I'M SO CONFUSED! What should I think ok myself?

I've been there, trust me. If all of these adults are saying that your pretty then you should believe that you are. As for looking bad in public mirrors, it's probably due to lighting because barely anyone looks good in them. It's like they have the power to bring out the bad in your skin.
If a boy hasn't asked you out yet, don't stress. Plenty of people don't get bfs until high school. It may just be that buys are intimidated by your looks and are afraid to ask you out. But, don't worry, just keep flirting and be freindly.

Hey gurl dont put yourself down like that!!! a lot of times the way you act reflects on the way you look..if you sit there and tell ur self and every one else you dont think your pretty then other people will look at you like that too! so stop putting your self down and remeber looks isnt everything !! and you shouldnt care what other people think of you anyways! good luck!!! oh and that boy thing, just be your self and they will come to ya! just be real !!! hope it helps!

girl, i'm in the same exact boat.
When i go to parties where its all adults and stuff like that my mom always tells me people say i'm pretty. I think that its guys this age, they are immature. You should just hold your head high because i'm sure guys see your beauty and they're just afraid to ask you out.

hey, okay well the reason why more adults say your pretty is because they know true beauty. sounds weird but they see behind the boobs and butt. maybe the reason why guys dont like you is because they see you as more of a friend and just one of the guys. instead of befriending them try flirting.
