Ok well i've heard that Limewire is illegal. Is it?
and if it is... then why doesn't the police do anything about it????
I mean there's like a thousand people who use limewire and if it's illegal, why don't they get caught?
is there like a special program that when you download limewire, the police can find you and track you down and you get arrested for illegally downloading things?
i'm so confused!

Igotamonopoly answered Sunday January 14 2007, 5:41 pm: In theory, Limewire is a place where people can share stuff that they own te copyrights to.
People share things that they do not own the copyrights to. If you download this, then yes, you are breaking the law.
Not only do police generally not have time for this, but there are so many people, as Thew said, that the chances of them catching someone who downloaded one or two things is like .00001.
"There's like a thousand people who use Limewire..."
There are millions of people that use it.
And, spyware is illegal. :)
I'm sure that this was elsewhere on the internet, though, so next time, you could try googling so that you don't have to spend time waiting for your question to be approved!! [ Igotamonopoly's advice column | Ask Igotamonopoly A Question ]
