how well do ab lounges work?

The Ab Lounge is just another piece of bogus equipment for which more money was spent in advertising than in development. If you want a good abdominal workout, sit-ups and crunches are still the way to go. Honestly, any piece of exercise equipment with the word "Lounge" in the title wasn't thought out very well.
