I am trying to lose weight. How many calories does tennis burn? I've been thinking about playing, but i have tried many sports that i've hated. What if this turns out the same? Thank you sooooooo much!
jediforhire answered Saturday January 13 2007, 5:45 pm: any tye of physical activity burns different amounts of calories depending upon how much you are exercising. if you have a good heart rate going, then its good for you (generally) and you are probobly going to be burning a fair amount of calories.
for the sake of not repeating myself, i suggest you read some advice i have given to others about exercise and wieght loss.

sabrinax answered Saturday January 13 2007, 4:25 pm: tennis can be a good sport to lose weight if you do it correctly. you need to keep moving and focus on getting to the ball rather than waiting for it to come to you. also, you should do some tennis drills like jogging/running while balancing the ball or bouncing it with your racket, or you can get some friends to throw some balls while you practice moving quickly. however, there are some people who just stand there waiting for the ball, they obviously won't lose weight. make sure you have water at all times also! don't worry about how many calories it burns, but if you see you're sweating like crazy then its working! good luckkk!
