i trim my hair and its been the sae length for about 8 yrs. it didnt work for me. triming your ends does make your hair appear nicer but as for making it grow that method didnt work for me. but the thing about letting split ends grow is that alot of times your hair will grow jagged so when you get get trimmed straight across it defeats the purpose. someone told me that hot oil treat ments work i havent yet tried it but plan to buy some almond oil this week if you want me to elaborate on it i will. ]
if you have a lot of split ends, itll cause your hair to get weak and break off. thus not looking any longer as it grows because of all the breakage. if you trim it every so often the ends stay healthy and you'll see noticable growth. ]
hey, true. if you have split ends you hair cant/wont grow as faster. the less dead ends you have, the faster it grows. ]
Um no :D If you cut your hair.. it doesn't magicially get longer. It will take twice as long to grow.Trimming can make it healthier but I never really cared.
I just did what you thought. I know hair grows even with split ends because... that's like my hair haha.
I'll wait when I have longer hair and then trim it a bit. It just looks healthier. I don't know why it still grows when there's split ends... but you could always use hair treatments to make it look healthier without the cut.

Avoid using hair styling products with alcohol which dries out hair.
Hot air can be damaging to your hair so when using a hair dryer use the cool setting
Hair is most fragile when it is wet so avoid brushing or combing when it's wet, or else it will cause breakage, wait until your hair is almost completely dry before brushing it.
Shower with warm water, hot water can dry and/or irritate the scalp.
Use a leave in conditioner, it'll hydrate and protect your hair.

if you are growing your hair out
then don't trim it.
it will take as twice as long.
because then you'll have to trim it
and then when it grows back "HEALTHLY"
you probably would have to trim it soon right after.
but just keep growing it
and when it's long as you want it
get a trim! ]
If you trim your hair, it is true that it grows faster. The splits in the hair make the hair weaker, and won't grow. The healthy hair grows faster. If you keep it growing when it is split, it is unhealthy, and weak.

It will not make your hair grow longer. However, trimming will keep your hair from breaking off and getting shorter, and your hair will look healthier. ]
It's false that it actually grows more if you cut it. But, if you trim it a lot, then you get rid of the dead and split ends. Your hair will be healthy and less likely to break off. So it may appear longer. But it doesn't actually grow more. ]
