It is likely that if a child sees its parents acting in a particular way then they may gain that particular personality trait but it is in no way definate, for example my parents are not tidy people at all but my brother is very very tidy
cutie_pie answered Thursday January 11 2007, 1:55 pm: your kids will most likely share parts of their personality with you and your husband. i don't know how to explain it, but its mostly because they are around you all the time, and you know how they say you become like the people who surround you. but of course part of their personality won't be anything like you or your husband, it will be their own uniqueness, and also parts will be affected by the people they hang out with, and where they grew up.

As to weather this is an inherited thing or a learned thing, I don't know.
Some say that a child raised not knowing their parents still grow to have bits of their parent's personalities.
