Question Posted Wednesday January 10 2007, 7:25 am

Ok so I got on the depo shot just before thanksgiving. I skipped a period. And then I started one in late december. I have been bleeding for 3 weeks. At the beginning it was just brown spotting and now it is like a regular period. But just this morning I went to the bathroom and a large peice of something fell out into the toilet. It wasn't a blood clot it was bigger and not red..i'm not sure what it was. And then when I got into the shower a huge peice of blood[blood clot or whatever] fell out of me. It was a bit bigger than a toddlers hand. I don't know why it was so big. Maybe it was because of the depo. Please help!! I don't know whats going on.

i know that i dont know anything about what you are going through but i really think that you should go to your doctor. I dont want to seem rude but you should call someone and ask like the nurse hotline or something. i dont want to be answering this question without knowing about it but it seemed serious and i want you to do something about it.

I have known girls to bleed the entire time they are on depo. The 3 weeks thing is probably a side affect
of the depo.

If you are having clots that large though, you really need to call your doctors office and ask the nurse about. They are glad to help you out so call
and see if the doctor needs to see you about it.
Mention how long you have had your period too. :)

I don't want to seem rude, but i doubt anyone on here has enough medical experience to help you. You should schedule a doctors appointment ASAP, and find out what's going on.
