i would take this as he's checking to see if you guys are still "cool" with eachother, not "are we ready to take the next step in our relationship?" or anything like that. more as "you understand that this was just a fun thing right?"

Mostly, he wants to make sure that you won't "blame" him for having sex with you; these days, teenage guys are practically trained to think that girls don't actually want sex.
