lose weight

Question Posted Sunday January 7 2007, 9:04 pm

i wanna lose weight. the thing is, i'm hardly hungry but i've got a horrible appetite for anything and everything fatty - chocolate, ice cream, fries, if it's bad for you, i crave it constantly. how do i tame my appetite? or at least not yield to it all the time? help!

For breakfast you should have something like ceral, eggs and toast, or bagles, stuff like that.
For lunch you should have a sandwhich and a piece of fruit and a good drink.(same with breakfast)
For dinner make something healthy, NO FAST FOOD!!
You can still have desert, just don't have as much.
Whatever you do DO NOT FAST!! You could hurt yourself very badly!!

Haha, I wonder why all the healthy foods aren't as addicting and delicious as those fatty ones.

Okay, to curve your cravings:
Drink lots of water. Whenever you want to eat a bad food, drink water, wait it out for 10min, and if you still want to eat it, crab a carrot instead.
Make your mom and dad swear NOT to get you fries from McDonals/BK or allow you to access the sweets and junk foods. Make them lock it up.
Buy veggies and fruits and cut them into eatable/bite size pieces and store them distributed into a serving size in ziplock bags and store them in the fridge on the shelve you see first when you open the fridge and hide the bad food in a corner or the back or the bottom or the fridge. That way you're tempted to grab the veggies instead of bending down/moving stuff to access to the fats.

Have a reward system like you eat healthy all day (&& i mean superr healthyy) reward yourself 4 oreos or 4 hershey kisses! && that's it! Don't keep them in the housee.. then you'll eat themm! Maybe on your way home fromm work or school or whateverr stop by && get some or ask yourr parents to only give you 4 (depends who you livee with && suchh.
Better yet take it all out of your housee.. you might crave it for 3 dayss but then you'll move onto better thingss!! =]

The only thing that works for me is not to keep it around. I don't buy those things or keep them in my house. If I go out, I don't order fries or dessert. It has to be a special treat for me to buy this stuff. After you haven't had it for a while, the cravings diminish. Working at McDonald's completely killed my appetite for french fries. That grease is nasty. If there's chocolate around, I'll eat it, though.

Try to fill up on nutritious foods so you're not hungry and make sure you're not eating to fill an emotional need (I'm bored, depressed, etc.). Watch out around the time of your period, and drink lots and lots of water.
