you can go to almost any doctor to get birth control & they are sworned to secrecy. no doctor can tell your parents about it.

you don't have to tell your parents. see your local planned parenthood and tell them about how you want birth control. they'll give you more information about it and they can give it to you. they won't tell your family.

If you have a health dept close by, they will put you on the pill. AND if you are over 13, they will not tell your family because of the doctor- patient thing. It should be the same if you go to your family doctor but im not sure. Another thing you can do is go to a different doctor If you have insurance, or an insurance card then this shouldnt be a problem. Schedule your appointment, get up there and do what you have to do.

If it comes down to the point that you think you need to tell your parents, or thats your final option, be honest. Tell them that you want to be on the pill just in case anything ever happens, but make sure you tell them a little white lie and say that you arent TRYIN to have sex. Its a just in case thing.

hey, well the way my mom told me to get it is this. go to the gyno and get an exam just to make sure that everythings okay in there. then just tell them that you want birth control. since me and my mom are open to this kind of stuff i dont know if they would tell your parents. i think you should tell just your mom about it. if you didnt want to tell her that you want to have sex just tell her that your period is overly heavy. they give it to you for that too.

Your family doctor will do fine. You have to have a pelvic exam before they will prescribe it. They will not tell your parents.

Depending on your age, you may be better off going to the local health department or planned parenthood. Your family doctor may not do the exam with out parents consent if underage. They would do it much cheaper too.

Doctors visits are expensive and the exam is extra cost. If your parents have insurance, it may pay for it, on your own though it would be costly. :)
