what is a best friend? is it a person who stabs you in the back? secretly talks about you? or even hookup with your crush behind your back? hm i dont think so. I thought i had a best friend....what do i do?

A best friend is someone who treats you with the utmost respect. They care about your feelings, they don't do things to hurt you.
Back stabber = not any kind of friend.
Does things to hurt you, weather behind your back or in front of it = not any kind of friend.
Talks smack on you = not any kind of friend.
Kicks ass and takes names for someone doing this to you and treating you in this
manner = your best friend.
You deserve to have someone who is honest with you and treats you in the same outstanding manner they treat themselves to call your new best friend.
Excuse my crudeness, but you need to tell this person to bite your ass. They are using you for a rug to wipe their feet on.
But, unlike the previous advisers, don't sink to your un-friend's level. Don't publicly humiliate them and don't resort to violence. Would that really make you the better person? Uh... HELL NO.

well if she did all this too you, i'm very sorry, that's a hard thing to go through. but if your best friend is this kinda person, don't be best friends with her, and i know thats hard. you should ask her about it first though, unless you already did, see what she has to say, than if you don't like it, she's not worth yuor time.
and a best friend, is someone who you can trust and be around, it's hard to say. they talk to you cuz they want to, and dont care what people say and dont let boys get in the way.
