(Quod Me Nutrit Me Destruit- In Latin)// It usually refers to an eating disorder. Atleast that's what I've heard it as. It basically means that what nourishes you, food, also destroys you, in a person with an ED's point of view, makes you fat (destroys them). But I guess that it can be used with any bad addiction. It's destroying you, but you need it to go on.

Oh, I saw this on America's Next Top Model. :) One of the models had it.
I think that refers to any sort of addiction, whether it's anorexia, drugs, alcohol, etc. Whatever you numb yourself with- drugs, let's say - will also slowly destroy you as you suppress your emotions with it. I heard Angelina Jolie was the one who first got this tattooed, and she had a problem for a long time with drugs and cutting. At the time, these things comforted her, but they just ended up hurting her in the long term. That's my take on it. :)

Food or drugs/alchohol.

All humans are nourished by food, but food destroys anorexics.
Alchoholics and drug addicts are nourished by the substances they use, but they destroy their body.

It means, the person is talking about something bad for them, which is making them happy at the same time. This could go towards drugs, alchohol, suicidal thoughts, bulimia, anorexia, ect.

1st let me say I have alot of "INK" on my body, and every tattoo that I have, I designed, and every-one of them have a meaning of there own, there own signifigance, a tale you might say, everyone who has a tattoo, and maybe "2" people have the same one, but each one, on two seperate people mean two different things...even though there written the same....the question is "what does it mean to you???".....and if your that "curious" just ask them, believe me, people with tattoos like when people admire them, and ask why..

"What nourishes me always destroys me" is a term anorexic people use. Its because people with eating disorders think that getting fat is the worst possible thing that could happen to them..ever. Yet, food is good and it is essential to LIFE and they know that. So, basically when they eat they are destroying the goal to be skinny (so they think) which all in all, will destroy not just their diet, but their life and their everything.

I tried to explain it the best I could.
