you know when you want to make your hair longer and people say to trim it? how does that make it longer? i know it gets rid of split ends but hair grows from the scalp, not on the ends of the hair... that doesn't make sense that you have to trim it to make it longer. can anyone tell me how this makes hair longer?
bitterxsweet answered Tuesday January 2 2007, 6:40 pm: because if your hair is very dead and split, it'll break off, giving the 'illusion' that it doesnt grow. keeping it trimmed helps keep the ends healthy so that they dont tear off, therefore as your hair grows from your scalp, you notice it getting longer from a lack of breakage.
