guy from another country...internet...
Ok, well a couple years back I met this guy over the internet. He lives in Egypt and I live in Canada. We've been on the phone, webcam and he sends pictures weekly. Is it possible that after all this that he is a fake? Because I'm really starting to get attached to him and for our school trip we're going to cairo and we were going to meet then. Should I go through with it or what. I'm really confused by it all. Sometimes, well alot we talk about our problems and well we help eachother out, I'm just scared that I'm going to get my heart broken and never be able to trust anybody anymore. What can I do about all this?

this is dangerous. yes there is a chance he could be fake and if this guy turns out to be a pycho not only are you leading him to yourself but other innocent people such as your class mates and such. also be very critical question every thing. if this guy really lives in egypt, does he have an accent does he look egyptian, can he speak the language. how old is he claiming to be and how old does he sound or look. sometimes people put on a big act to lure you into trusting them so they can do harm to you. this stuff happens. dont just worry about your heart being broken worry about other parts of you aswell as others being broken. if you insist on meeting this person atleast tell a teacher whos going with you and a parent if your underage.make sure someone in charge know whats going on. im not sure of your age not that it matters because an adult could be kidnapped and hurt as well.im not trying to scare you but there are crazy people outthere and if this person knows what you look like he could watch from afar and ambush you. he could shoot you or anything. and it puts people around you at risk aswell.

it is possible for him to be a fake with all the technology we have these days. but its not likely if youve talked to him on the phone, webcam and he sends pictures. if he looks the same in all the pictures as he does on the webcam its likely hes not a fake. dont get your hopes up to high if he isnt as perfect as he seems. dont forgegt you can make yourself look better on computers with picture editors. also i wouldnt go alone to meet him make sure at least one other person is with you incase thigns do go wrong. but do go for it. it will be fun even if you dont exactly like him that much. he seems like a person you can trust and talk to.

Seriously, you wont really know until you've gone and found out for yourself. Yes, there's a possibiliy he is fake, because myspace/internet people are like that. I would still go but don't set your hopes too high on him being perfect or just like he What im saying is GO FOR IT.

actually it is possible but not likely if he's talked to you ober the webcam and all. but if your going there you can see for yourself right. i'd go through with it but meet in a nuetral place with other people...cuz i'm sure there are creeps in egypt too, just to make sure. but don't get too attached yet. and even if he's not who he says he is that's no reason for you not to trust anybody anymore becaus eif he helped you and all, well then does his name really matter. he was still kind of a friend. hope that helped.

this happened to me to.
i figure it's a matter of if you trust him enough to meet him, and to know what he will do. you've been talking on online - true he might be fake, you never know. But i met somebody from online that i liked and he was totally diferent from what i ever expected. Like him, you may get nervous but just for the first time bring a friend with you when you go to meet him try to find someone who will go with you just in case he is fake. There are plenty of good guys and bad guys in the world it's your choice to fall for them and live happily, or get destroyed and broken. My advice is to just think to yourself if your that ready to trust him with your life.
