In reference to a previous answer: Birth control of any kind does not cause cancer. Certain hormones in much larger doses taken by menopausal women has been shown to increase the chances of breast cancer in some women.

All of your advisers, including me, have assumed you mean the Pill. If you need to know about the side effects of other birth control measures, please ask another question. Gigi

The most common side effects are nausea and headaches. I think it depends on the pill you take. There are a lot of different ones. With the one I'm on, I haven't experienced any of the side effects except for a headache like once and being nauseaus a few times. It's not that bad. Hope I helped!

You can be perfectly fine but you can develop cancer with some and a lot of other things.

Just take a look at the site and make sure you do research before you decide what is right for you. Talking to a doctor is always the best way to go though.
