How does "Plumping Lipgloss" work?
I bought some yesterday, and it said your lips should tingle, which they did, but what does the mean/how does it plump your lips?
also, if it does plump your lips, how long does it last?

the lip pulming gloss works by stimulating your lips and bringing blood to them to make them fuller. you can also get this natural effect by putting cayenne pepper on your lips. that looks more natural i must say. by bringing blood to your lips, the gloss doesnt do any harm. it just makes you lips bigger. its pretty cool. victorias secret has some called VERY VOLUPTUOUS lip plumper. its $18, but its amazing and has a light clear pink color that looks great.

My one friend has that lipgloss, and she says it works by your blood vessels bursting in your lips? I'm not sure if she's right, but yea that's pretty much all I know about it. [=

Lip plumping lip glosses work by irritating your skin. Think of it like a bee sting: it gets irritated so the flesh swells up around it. (Some of the first plumping products were actually made with bee venom, weird eh?)
Anyways, that’s why is tingles or 'stings'. Different products claim to last for different lengths of time, but if you have allergies be careful with those products, you are basically placing a very low grade poison on your skin. Also, some people have said you might build up a tolerance to the irritant over time and the gloss will stop working.

when it plumps your lips, they make your lips a little bigger and fuller. depending on the product, it can last between 24-48 hours and sometimes more! it may take a few tries to get it to work properly. good luck♥
