me and food

Question Posted Wednesday December 20 2006, 9:58 pm

I have the worst relationship with food right now. This past summer, I was very strict with myself about what I ate. I hardly ever ate any kind of dessert, and I counted calories closely. Now, ever since Thanksgiving about, I binge all the time. I eat a bunch of Christmas cookies and icecream and candy and stuff. I try to tell myself to go back to normal, but I just turn into a different person when I get near food. What could be causing this? How can I get control of my life again? I know this is unhealthy, but I can't do it by myself.

The same thing happened to me before. My advice to you is start exercising get a membership to a local gym and work out, if you dont have the money for that then go running (bring a fav cd or ipod it goes by faster) but start off slow, see if you can buy some weights and do different repetitions, even buy one of those exercising dvds. Before you know it you will be looking great and you can still eat the things you love, but trust me once you start working out your metabolism will speed up and you will stop craving the junkfood just take one day at a time dont try to rush it. let me know if this helped =)

I think this was caused because your body missed out on so much of that good stuff when you were on that little healthy diet. I would try limiting the cookies and icecream to once a day at the MOST. Also what i would try is to do more things to make you not bored because i know that when i get bored I tend to eat. So trying to be active to were you have no time to eat. You can also exercise. Good luck!
