TheHeadHonchoPoncho57 answered Monday December 18 2006, 7:04 pm: I make hamburgers all the time. It's pretty easy.
Just go to the store and buy some hamburger meat in the meat aisle.
Take out some hamburger and form a ball with your hands---a tennis ball-sized makes a small hamburger, a baseball-sized ball will make a fairly large one. I don't know how much hamburger your dad eats, but you can go from there. Flatten it out as much as you want, but just don't make it too thick, because it will expand a little bit while cooking.
Heat up a pan on the stove. You'll know if it's hot enough by flicking a drop of water on the pan...if it's hot enough, the water will start sizzling. Then, pour enough cooking oil on the pan so that it coats the bottom, but you don't want too much oil. Put the flattened hamburger on the pan and let it cook about 6-7 minutes on each side.
Toast a hamburger bun, and once the burger is done, put it on the bun along with your dad's favorite toppings (onions, lettuce, tomatoes etc.)
1. Preheat a grill for high heat.
2. In a medium bowl, lightly mix together the ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, liquid smoke and garlic powder. Form into 3 patties, handling the meat minimally. Brush both sides of each patty with some oil, and season with seasoned salt.
3. Place the patties on the grill grate, and cook for about 5 minutes per side, until well done.
