Question Posted Friday November 24 2006, 3:57 pm

13/f

i really need advice. do you know how to lose weight? especially in my stomach and thighs. whenever i walk my feet are always touching and whenever i sit down, my thighs look like flatout pancakes. are there any tips? i know doing situps or crunches are good, but i seem to not do it coz of my laziness. [lol] im serious i get tired after doing about 20 situps then i stop. are there any food i shud avoid to lose weight? ive heard that if you lose weight and start eating whatever again, youll gain fat back. and that scares me. i wanna be fit and healthy for the rest of my life. pls give advice! and thanks in advance! =]

If I were you I'd avoid drinking soda. And when you eat food the "TRANS FAT" Is the one that's the most. Keep to low sugars and EAT YOUR VEGGIES AND FRUITS! I would recommend running if you're worried about your thighs. I'm sure you'd get "lazy" LOL, but bring an I-pod or watch TV and run in place or something! ( I know it sounds stupid but who knows! ) Don't get lazy, think of your goal that you'd like to reach and whenever you feel like the laziness is going to hit make sure you realize that you want to get to your GOAL. Keep eating though, don't do that whole bulemia/anorexia bleh. I think everyone is better than that! GOOD LUCK!

better to join a gym...seek out at the gym you will join a personal trainer...it may be hard at first to want to go to the gym...if youy set your mind to it and you really trully want to lose weight you will go and do as told...walk to the gym if you must, walk everyday, yes sit ups and crunches are good, but it isnt the best to lose weight, to lose weight you need to do cardio work, like for instance, waling, running, machine work at a gym, cut out soda, make meals in portions, always remeber portion control. eat more vegetables, and fruits, and cut out a lot of pasta and breads, exchange your pasta and breads in to rice, eat alot of sodium free soup and excerise...

Well, I'm not educated about this subject so I looked up a website that my friend told me about. She used to be overweight and she really wanted to lose weight, so she looked up teen weight loss techniques and found this helpful website:

Eat lots of veggies and fruits, go easy on the meat. Fish is good for your cholesterol, though it can still be fattening. Cook, or ask your mom/dad to cook, with oil instead of butter, and don't use too much of it. Drink lots of water. Go easy on sugar and carbs (don't completely ban them from your diet though) and fatty foods. Stay away from the fast food, milkshakes and drinks like coke and orange soda.

And keep up doing that exercise. If you do 20 situps every day, try doing 22 tomorrow, and increase the number by two every two or 3 days. IF your back starts complaining, you're doing too much and you know you have to stop. Try other excersises, like walking, jogging, cycling. Swimming is the best full body workout, so you might wanna try that.

Ha, yeah I'm lazy too. But, the thing with me is.. I'll be on the couch watching tv, & not feeling like getting up to go eat something. hahaha. Anyways, theirs this diet I did for a little while. Because I gained like 5 pounds. & I like flipped out, because I usta be fat & then I got like super skinny, so yep. ANYWAYS, its like a nice diet if you don't like meat, you may not like this diet. But its the Atkins diet. Its where you only eat meat & can only have like 10 carbohydrates or whatever. [Check into the exact, I forget] You can't have any fruit or anything, Just vegetables & stuff. It sounds like a suckish diet. But, I lost like 10 pounds in 3 days, [thats only when you first start though] Then its like 3 pounds, for 3 days. & you don't have to stay on it for like ever. You can do it for like 3 days go off, & eat normal food. Then go back on. Like I remember I made like salads with like chicken in it & stuff. & then I got that dressing where like just one spray is 1 calorie or whatever. lol And drink like ALOT of water. & if you live somewhere where its warm out, or semi warm, then taking walks is a good idea too. (: I gurantee you'll be skinny in no time on that diet.

To me, thats better then doing situps & junk I hate doing those things. lol

Ok, i hope I helped!
