If your each individual hair strand is thin or overal thin a thicker shampoo and conditioner which may specialize in volume/body is always a good thing to do. They sell tons at the local drug stores but also check out the ones at your salon, they may be more expensive but ask what your hair dresser would recomend.

-Try to use as little heated products as possible (IE: straighteners, curlers, hair dryers, ect.) They all reuin your hair follicles. However, a dryer may add more puff to your hair.

-Scrunching and body shaping gels are also good. There are ways to apply them which do make them more effective, such as applying them closer to the root.

Getting extensions isn't the only way to make your hair thicker. There are many things you could try:

- Blow dry your hair when you get out of the shower, it adds more volume to your hair, making it look thicker

-Use root lifter. Ask your hairstylist about getting some of this. I got some and it is called Matrix Amplify - Here is a picture of it.

-You could also poof your hair in the morning, with a comb or a brush. This makes your hair look less flat against your head.

All of these things take a bit more time to do, but, trust me, it is totally worth it.
Hope i helped!

Try using XXL volume gel or hair serum. It can be found anywhere and comes in all different brands. Not only will it give your hair more body, it will also make your hair wavy!

Get a thickening shampoo & conditioner. It should say something on the bottle on making it thicker or adding volume. That's all i can think of for adding volume. Also, blow drying your hair makes you have alittle more volume/thicker.

First off, don't worry, you do not need extensions for thicker hair. They key is a good shampoo, conditioner, and a styling product. I recommend Thermasilk Volume Enhancing Shampoo & Conditioner, and Volume Infusing Mousse.
