Rumors at school. My best friends think I flirt with my best
I am 13 years old. I am in grade 8 and life is getting somplicated. Almost all my friends are guys and now the most popular girl in school say I flirt a lot with all the guys. She spread a nickname for me called "Boy Toy" and now I cant talk to a guy without anyone making a big deal about it. One of my most trustworthy friends is a guy and ill admit I kind of like him now but its just too weird. But now shes got even my best friend believing I flirt with him all the time and hes starting to avoid me some more. What I mean is usually when we see eachother he gives me a giant smile and stuff and stops and talks to me. Now he like looks away. I dont know what to do. Its not like im a huge flirt (I think) Ive never even truely gone out with a guy. What should I do?

i understand because threw most of my schools most of my friends were guys...no attraction to them....yes people made a big deal but if its not true why worry as for your guy friend if hes really your friend then he should know better..or maybe hes just as embarrased as you are and doesnt want to share in the harrassment..if he your friend the why dont you confront him..if he has a problem with it then hes not all that good of a friend.

People are jealous of you. You can talk to guys and not get shy or tongue tied.
You can either ignore that taunts and talk to your friends about what's really going on. But also, defend yourself. When someone is calling you that, tell them to stop it. Inform them that the only reason someone started that rumor is that they can't handle a normal conversation with someone of the opposite sex.
As for the guy, give him room to breath. Say hi and walk on by. Eventually, this will calm down and people will more on to something else.

Hmmm.I believe everything will be ok so just try to talk to your guy friends and explain to them what this girl is doing,or go talk to a teacher a parent or any adult or do both

hey i went through the same problem in 8th grade. but it was only with one guy. and my nick name was the "boyfriend stealer," and i lost alot of friends because of that, but did i care, no. dont worry about what other people think. if they are trying soooo hard to make your life hell, then they are wasteing there time. think about it this way, they could be trying to make there life better, but no. they are thinking and spreading rumors about you. dosent that mean your pretty damn important to them? my best friends mom told me that. but i would just ignore them. but personally, i fight fire with fire... i would make there life miserable lol. =] hope i helped

just shake it off. think about it. if the boys didnt stop talking to you would it really be a problem? i dont think it would be. anyways so what if your a flirt. its cute to be a flirt. if the guys stop talking to you then there losers. you should talk to them about it and see what happens from there.
