Question Posted Thursday November 2 2006, 11:59 pm
I'm a 15 y.o. freshman girl and boys don't really talk to me. I'm sort of shy and quiet in class, so I may come off as snobby or unapproachable. I'm only shy and quiet because I'm afraid they don't like me. I don't think I'm ugly or anything, so I dunno. Should I talk to them? What are some good conversation starters? How can I be more outgoing?

Put a catchy tune on as you get dressed or take a shower or ride in the car and sing along with it.
Queit in class is a good thing, but if you know the answe to a question go ahead and speak up. And if someone makes a joke and everyone else is laughing but you, laugh. It's the little things that you do to join in with everybody else (legal things of course) that makes more guys notice you.
But then again, it's all different for everybody. Some guys like the gals who are quiet and unapproachable. Makes them want to approach you. Some guys like a girl who does all the work so they don't have to.
(I personally think those guys are just lazy pigs and that guys are supposed to pursue the girl, but, it's all different for everyone.) [ mooch789's advice column | Ask mooch789 A Question ]

All I can say is just find a guy who happens to be interesting, and get to know him. If things don't work out, there's always other guys. It's something you have to get over yourself. Don't worry, getting over shyness is something that is possible with personal effort. [ sillyrob's advice column | Ask sillyrob A Question ]
