who cares about your height???? i once attended one play about snow white, and most of the dwarfs were like 5-7 inches taller than snow white. what i am trying to say is that no one cares about how tall you are, and as long as you are dedicated to this role, you will do fine.
Tips:
smile, every one loves smiles (but do not go over board with the smiles)
eat bananas because in research, it says that just one banana gives you a big boost of energy and makes your skin glow.
try not to look at the script too much because, the judges will not appreciate that ( but just glance at it every so often to make sure you are saying the right words) ]
Red Riding Hood is a wonderful role. I don't know about your level of experience, but if you don't have a lot of singing experience, I would recommend that you audition for Red instead of Cinderella. Cinderella is an emotionally and vocally complex role to pull off……..and being too tall doesn’t matter. In middle school, nobody really cares what you look like for a school play. Heck, I've heard of a blonde girl playing Maria in West Side Story........
Here is my best advice on auditions:
*Make sure you look presentable. Wash your face (....in case you don't do this anyways?) and put your hair out of your eyes. The audience can't see your expression as well if they can't see your entire face. But don't over-dress, because that gives off a bad image as well. Just dress normally and look well groomed enough.
*Get a good night's sleep the night before. I know that this is a cliche and your mom tells you this all the time, but take it from me.......a good night's sleep is REALLY REALLY IMPORTANT!!!!! If you don't have full energy the next day, your chances of getting the role are very slim.
*Use LOTS of facial expression, even if you're just reading. It gives a good impression.
*Riding Hood is an annoying brat; imagine someone that you know who's like her, and act like the person.
*Really think about the line before you say it. Think like the character.
Have a nice audition! If you feel like it, tell me how it goes! ]
it's not what others think that matters it's what you think. It is important to stay who you are and not change for anyone else no matter what. You are who you are and nothing can change that and nothing should make you want to change that cause that's what makes you so different from everyone else around you, remember that.

It doesnt matter how tall you are it just matters how well you play the part dont listen to your friends it makes no sense. Sometimes your friends can be really wrong and other times really right but this time REALLY WROOOOOOOONG!!!
