I am 13 and obvisily a female. I had my period when i was 12 in november and havent had one again. And guess what month it is? It has been about a year, and of course i havent had sex. I know it takes a while to get regular but all my friends have started and they say i should see a docter. Should i see one? I have been worried about this a lot. Please help.
I wouldn't recommend seeing a doctor, because it takes a long time to schedule an appointment, and it's a waste of time if it isn't anything serious. The doctor will just tell you the same thing that I did.

Don't be worried about it, but if you are that worried about it, then you can see a doctor. You could also talk to your mom about it. Tell her whats going on and that you think something is wrong. Im pretty sure nothing is, you and your friends have different cycle times.. you cant baise your peroid off of someone elses...

Yet missing a WHOLE YEAR without having any periods at all seams quit odd. I strongly sugest that you consult a docter.
marsbars answered Thursday November 2 2006, 6:05 pm: I dont think it is anything to worry about. You are still young and at that age it is common for you to have a year inbetween your first period. That happened to me too, dont worry at all. I'm 15 now and things are starting to be more regular, it'll happen just give it time. [ marsbars's advice column | Ask marsbars A Question ]
sizzlinmandolin answered Thursday November 2 2006, 5:41 pm: There's probably nothing wrong, but there's no reason to keep it from your doctor. Don't run out and schedule an appointment because this isn't something you need to worry about. When you go in for your yearly physical, your doctor should ask if you have any questions and if you have a regular cycle. If none of this comes up, bring it up yourself. Let your doctor know. There's no harm in it, and if it did happen to be a problem, you'd probably be able to get it resolved. If you don't get a yearly physical, you should start. Good luck! :) [ sizzlinmandolin's advice column | Ask sizzlinmandolin A Question ]
