I am 13/f and lately my mom has told me that i am acting weird. I dont like mushy stuff anymore (like...i think you are so lovely- example.) I dont like when people touch me and i dont like my grandam (well she gets on my nerves. ) I know this sounds mean but i dont know why i am doing it, it just happening. i get mad easier and sad and deppressed and i just dont know what to do so please, please tell me whats going on and how i can be better.
You're going to go through lots of hormones and you can get very emotionally every now and then and you look back on it and realize how weird you were being, and that it wasn't anything to be emotional over.
I've just learned to kind of control it by whenever I'm getting annoyed or upset I just take deep breaths and if it's someone whose annoying me, I just avoid them so I don't snap at them and hurt their feelings or something. And I just go on and think of something happy that'll cheer me up and make me smile, so just do something that'll cheer you up and put you in a better mood. :)

this is all very normal for someone you're age. there's not really much you can do other then just finding stuff you enjoy and doing them (though i would not recommend drinking, drugs, and/or sex) [ ferret's advice column | Ask ferret A Question ]
Teza answered Thursday November 2 2006, 5:11 pm: Don't worry too much about it. You're just hitting puberty and some of us girls can act even worse. I know I did. I had the worst attitude problem. You're going to go through a lot of changes and things are going to make you mad easily. You can't really stop doing what you're doing because chances are, you don't even realize how mean you're being. It's normal. Apologize to whoever you hurt. You shouldn't treat anyone bad just because you're going through puberty. You're growing up and you will have mood swings but it's not an excuse to treat anyone badly. Your parents and grandmother understand what you're going through and I'm sure they won't take it to heart. [ Teza's advice column | Ask Teza A Question ]
