Go to the doctors as soon as you can. You can get tested for mono there and I believe that if caught soon enough, you can be given medication to lessen the severity of the symptoms. Here's a webpage that should answer all your questions. :)

Symptoms:
Inital symptoms occur 1-3 days before severe symptoms may show:
-Chills, loss of appetite, lack of energy.
More intense symptoms:
-Severe sore throat
-Fever
-Swollen neck glands
saltpeppershaker answered Thursday November 2 2006, 3:14 pm: Mono is awful because it can sit in your system for weeks, even months before symptoms start to show.
If all you did was drink out of her water bottle, you SHOULD be okay. Mono is called the kissing disease because it is typically contracted by situations that involve more than a water bottle. The only way a doctor can diagnose it is if you get a blood test. It is a virus, just like the flu, so the only way to prove that you have it is by the blood test. Personally, I wouldn't waste the time on all that. If you start to feel gross, and I don't mean a tiny cough, I mean HORRIBLE, head straight to the doc. Otherwise, chill.
