whenever i shave my legs, i get these dots on my legs. no, not razor burn or anything they're not red, they're like kinda black dots. what can i do to make these go away? (i use a gillette daisy disposable razor and i just got it, so its not old or anything. and i use skintimate raspberry rain shaving gel, if that helps) thankss
hco_babe answered Saturday October 14 2006, 6:26 pm: before you start shaving, while your in the shower, let your legs soak the water in for about 5 minutes. shaving works best and you can prevent the black dots by letting your legs get wet for a while first. also, go out and buy a nice quatro razor. this will help too. make sure you change your razor about every 15 days or so depending on how much you use it. make sure to put lotion on your legs after shaving too. orphans answered Saturday October 14 2006, 8:47 am: its stubble.
if its dark, i would start waxing your legs, becuase shaving makes your hair get thicker and darker, and waxing, lighter and thinner, so you shoul wax [ orphans's advice column | Ask orphans A Question ]
XkittyOkatX answered Friday October 13 2006, 5:06 pm: I think this is probably the root of the hair you've just shaven off. They are more visable after you shave, because when they're longer, it's harder to see the hair, but the closer you get to the root, the darker it gets because there are more chemicals, ect, that stick there. DiNOxTHUNDER answered Thursday October 12 2006, 11:31 pm: all it is, is stubble.its just where the new hair is gonna grow back in. if you`re that selfconcious about it, try using nair cream to take off your leg hair, because it goes deeper then razors. tellmeaboutit answered Thursday October 12 2006, 8:19 pm: I believe those dots are what your hair grows from. I have them too and unfortunately I don't think there's much you can do about it. If you try waxing or go with razors that give you a closer shave such as shick intuition, the dots should be less noticeable. [ tellmeaboutit's advice column | Ask tellmeaboutit A Question ]
aquababe1 answered Thursday October 12 2006, 7:13 pm: It's just because you have dark hair, there's nothing you can do about it. However, you can buy Jergens Naturally Smooth after-shaving lotion to make the hair less thick and it grows back slower. [ aquababe1's advice column | Ask aquababe1 A Question ]
