Fund rasers?
Hey im in grade 11, i live in Ontario,Canada. Anny how my spanish class is going to spain this summer and we need to do alot of fund rasing to help lower the cost.
So my question is;
What are some good fund raser ideas that dont cost alot to do yet bring in a good profit?

My adivce is to hold a bingo night. Ask your school if you could use the cafeteria one night, and go to different stores and ask them to help support you, and maybe donate a prize. My friend did this for People to People and said it really worked.

You can sell lolly pops, candy, or anything else that takes a giant shit in your arteries.

now this is what my skl do in england (but it only works if teachers co-operate)
1. teacher sponging- 50p (or summat like dat) per sponge to through at teachers,
2.bake sale- speaks 4 its self
3. teacher leg waxing- lots of fun to watch
4. foreign food day - sell loads of foreign food

Our Spanish club is raising money for the same purpose and we've made a lot of money with:
Car wash at our local gas station - we also had everyone participating bring in some type of food (cupcakes, brownies etc) to sell. Be sure to do plenty of advertising before hand -- we made a few hundred dollars in 4 hours
Bagging groceries at the local supermarket -- sets of 5 members took 2 hour shifts to bag groceries at our local County Market. We had buckets at each checkout lane that told why we were there and people could donate money to us. We made a few hundred dollars from 3 2 hour shifts (6 hours)
A cookout. Talk to your local stores and see if they would sponsor you in a cook out in their parking lot. Our local store donated everything we needed from chips to hamburger and hotdog buns and soda to use for the cookout. The only thing we had to pay them back for was the meat since its quite expensive. You can have meal plans where they get like a sandwhich, chips, drink, and some sort of dessert for a certain price, or they can buy an individual item for a set price. We also had items they could buy just by donation so there wasn't a set price and they could get what they wanted at a price they felt was reasonable. Our cheerleading squad made nearly $2000 doing this.

well, my dance team did a car wash at a local gas station. we raised soooo much money. we asked for donations and we held up alot of signs. we also made t-shirts.

Try doing a bake sale or a fashion show.
For the bake sale, try cooking ethnic Spanish food and for the fashion show, wear Spanish clothes.
You could combine both in a "Spanish" event with a theme. You could have tickets and prizes donated by local businesses, play some Spanish games et cetera.
