I'm not sure but I think I have TSS but I'm not sure what TSS really means. I am SUPER shy and if I talk to anyone or read outloud in class my face instinctly(as if it's a reaction or something)goes red and if I talk more than 2 minutes than my voice begins cracking and shaky. Sometimes when all eyes are on me I shake and feel like I'm about to faint and sometimes has to hold on something b4 I fall down from fear. This is not like as if I'm tlaking to a crush or something it happens when I'm talking to ANYONE and since TSS stands for toxis shock syndrum I think this might be is but is it?

TSS like has been said previously is caused by bacteria. It causes cramps and severe headaches
and can actually be caused by more than just tampons
tampon use though that's the one you hear about the most.
You are just painfully shy around people and don't like being the center of attention.
If you'd like some tips for overcoming some of your
shyness, here is a good website.
"tss is something you get if you leave a tampon in too long, and once you take it out you start feeling better in the next hour or so."
That isn't true. TSS is a VERY serious medical condition. It does not just go away when you remove the tampon. It will probably require hospitilazation. And if untreated can lead to death. Please do not give advice if you are unsure of the facts. [ karenR's advice column | Ask karenR A Question ]
aquababe1 answered Monday October 9 2006, 12:27 pm: no you dont have tss. tss is something you get if you leave a tampon in too long, and once you take it out you start feeling better in the next hour or so. it sounds like you just have stage fright or are really shy. just try to breathe in and out and concentrate on that, try to relax, and just talk to them normally, and if you start to get nervous just take a few seconds to try and calm down. but dont wrry pretty much everybody gets nervous when they have to speak up in front of a class full of people.
edit**
about the tss thing, i didnt know you COULD get it without leaving in a tampon too long, so im sorry i didnt say that. and yes you do require hospitilization if its very serious and you can die if it is left untreated. [ aquababe1's advice column | Ask aquababe1 A Question ]
isis answered Monday October 9 2006, 6:07 am: Don't worry, it's not TSS, if it were, you would be in hospital by now. You are just very shy. This is something you can grow out of in time and most people suffer from it to some degree.
If you have to read in class, try to concentrate on what you are reading and ignore everyone else. When you have gained more confidence in yourself, you feel so shy. Keep im mind though that some of the greatest leaders in the world have suffered from shyness, so you're in good company.
Hope that helps and don't worry. [ isis's advice column | Ask isis A Question ]
