Is it alright to wear kahkis and a nice button up shirt to homecoming?

well it all dipends on what your date thinks and if you dont have a date wear what you wont to wear. be your self and dont let anyone tell you other wise.

Well, you could wear them but it's not very formal and dressy. At my homecoming, no guy wore them. I think that you should stick to the normal black dress pant with a nice button up shirt. If you prefer kahkis, wear them but they're not really for homecoming.

at my homecoming i would say everyone i saw was either in a suit or a tux and i saw no one in kahkis
so i would say you are better off with suit pants then kahkis

If you're a guy...it's perfectly ok. If you're a girl...well, you won't get kicked out, but make sure you're chock full of self esteem...you may stand out a little bit. If you're having trouble affording a dress, try borrowing one.
