I have a very bad problem. I have this feeling that I don't want to study anymore. When I learned about how I felt, I was disappointed, I never knew I could actually feel this way because I'm an honor student. I moved to a new school, and when second semester came, I had this feeling that I don't want to pursue my studies anymore. Or maybe its just because I felt really bad about my grades during the first semester because they were surprisingly low. Or maybe I'm just going through some sort of phase. I really don't want to think this way because I know that my mom works very hard for my education. How do I snap out of it? [f/13]

Which Is Totally Normal Or At Least I Thinkk. I've Moved Quite A Few Times In My Life. And Now That I'm All Settled In I Have Moved In 3 Years! I'm Finally Making A's Again.. But Then My Grades Dropped Because I Was Being Harrassed And Focused More On How To Get Through The Day Without Getting Jumped Than On My Grades... I Ended Up Getting 4 C's And 1 D-.. The Best Thing To Do Is When You Get Ready To Do Your Homework Make Sure There Are No Distractions, And Your Mind Is Only Focused On Your Homework And Studying.. And Work Really Hard Because You're Prolly In 7th Or 8th Grade And It's Preparing You For Highschool If You Don't Develop Good Study Habits Now, How Are You Gonna Make It Through Highschool?
acetrace92 answered Saturday October 7 2006, 10:39 am: well, I sometimes have that same problem too. For me, I dont try to change how I feel. There are many times where I just dont care anymore about grades, but usually I just snap out of it bymyself. Maybe your body got tired of trying to work so hard and it needs a break. Try relaxing for a few days, but dont slack off too much. Just dont perfect everything. Soon you will want to keep up with your grades again.
Hope I helped!!

It could be that your adjusting(spelling?) to a new school, and your just not used to their learning circulum. It also might be a phase. Are other kids that you hang out with not on the honor roll , or dont like to study? If that's it , you might just be hanging out with them too much or something(not a bad thing , still hang out with them .. but have more serious/hardworking friends). I hope I helped :]
