im 13 and i weigh 142 pounds. i know i am overweight and i have a big schedule but i need to lose weight! can anyone please give me some quick excercises i can do because i want to lose 4 pounds in one month. also any foods would be good too.
1)THe foods you eat are more important then how much you work out!Don't eat eny thing that is not FAT FREE!Like fruits and vegtibles don't eat junk food!Giveing up junk food might be hard but it might be the one of the bast things you can do when you are dieting!
2)Mike and water can help you lose weight, thee not like deiting pills but they can help, so instead of drinking soda witch is a vary bad thing to drink when you are trying lose weight (It almost maks it so that you can't lose weight)Drink a glass of milk and water:)
3)Loseing weight will not be easy, it will be harder then you can even imagin, don't forget that.
4)Never eat enything after 7-oclock, if you wack up at night with craving just go back to bed, every thing you eat at night goes strait to you legs and your butt thats called binging!
5)Working out is important to, you won't lose eny thing if you only work out for 20 minits day, you need to do at least an hour!I run on my tredmeal for at the least an HOUR EVER DAY, or sometimes more.If you don't have a tredmeal you can always go runing out side it mght be cold but you wanna look good dont you?
6)ALWAYS make sure you work out for A HOUR OR MORE, and never never never eat enythin that is not FAT FREE!
7)Keep reminders around like for example my desk top back ground right now is a pitchure of myself (that i drew lol)but i am vary skinny in a bikini, every time i get hungry or a craving for something like ice cream witch is vary bad i just look at my back ground and i think that if i ever wanna look like that then i have to agnor my craveings.You keep a pic or a skinny girl in you frige that works well to or eny were you think you might see here.
8)Don't give up, always stay comfident every day when you wake up look at your self in the miror and say i am pritty and i am going to lose weight today!I know that sonds stupid but it wuill help.

-Everytime after a meal, don't sit down. Walk about for about 15-20 minutes and make sure you feel less bloated b4 you sit down.
-If you need/want to sit down, sit up straight and tighten your stomach muscles(this contributes to giving you a flatter and more toned abdomen)
-Have your dinner 3 hrs before bed time to make sure you arent sleeping with a full stomach and that all your food has been digested
-Make sure you work out for at least 45 minutes a day
-Most importantly, cut down on food with high fat or oil content. I dun believe in things like cutting down on calories. Just reduce your fat/oil intake. [ clarayow's advice column | Ask clarayow A Question ]

The number one goal you should set for yourself is focusing on not how much weight you want to lose but what you're going to do for the day for accomplishment. Think about it. You'll probably end up being overwhelmed because you're stressing about what a long way you have to do. The real secret to losing weight fast is not dwelling on how much pounds you actually have to lose but just doing it. Along with this, it also means that you can't jump to anythign to fast. Example: crash dieting, running for 60 minutes your first week. Gradual success will help you maintain the weight loss.
For exercising, you always want to start with good preparation. I like to stretch by doing pilates. Pilates not only stretches your core muscles but tones them as well, giving them more shape and defintion. Sit ups and crunches will give you a flatter stomach as well.
Next, you want to set up a routine for yourself. To keep yourself from getting bored I would recommend that you switch it up every other day. Definitely do cardio. This gets to heart rate up and this will also be good for losing weight faster. You can start by walking for twenty minutes and increase the speed every day. I like to walk on the tredmill while watching tv or listening to music. Walk everywhere. When I went to China I noticed how delicate and slender everyone was there. Why? Because they walk everywhere. And there are more bicycles on the street than cars. Additionally, the majority of their meals were green vegetables. What I'm trying to say is that instead of riding an elevator take the stairs. Instead of driving to the store, ride your bike there if that's an option. Take frquent walks around your neighborhood. It helps to take a brisk walk three times a day. Think: morning, noon, and night on weekends and after school, before dinner, after 7pm on week days. If you have a bike you can opt to ride it rather than walk to keep it from getting boring.
Overall, if you can maintain to do pilates or a stretch, cardio, and walking each day, you will lose weight.
I don't like to use the term dieting, I like to just state that it's eating right. You think diet, you think atkins or something. lol
As far as drinks go: Lots of water, one cup of tea and coffee a day. Skip all sodas, if you are addicted to soda go with diet but I wouldn't recommend diet sodas unless you absolutely need to.
Grilling, steaming, bake and boiling are four words you need to know for eating right. Cook all your foods this way. Don't fry too much.
Basically your only restrictions are the obvious. Cakes, candy, white starches, sugars ect. East whole grains, fruits, veggies, and meats.
Examples:
Breakfast: 1 cup of oatmeal, a half slice of whole wheat toast and an orange.
Lunch: chicken salad, wheated bread sandwich and an apple.
Snack: peanutbutter celery sticks or green apple.
Dinner: broiled chicken, steamed vegetables or salad, and potatos.
Snack: try picking a fruit or veggie.
It's pretty much you control over portions and what you eat.
MelLeDisko answered Sunday September 24 2006, 10:02 pm: Why shoot for 4 pounds in one month? Why not 3 pounds every week? :) The healthiest amount of weight you can lose every week is 2-3lbs, so if you were to lose 3lbs every week, you could lose almost 9-12lbs a month!
Some exercises you can do are take some jogs or walk around the neighborhood a bit, and make it a little more fun and invite a friend along. You can run up and down the stairs 5 times a day or so, even more. Whatever's comfortable with you. Try doing some crunches and side crunches and push ups. Also, just try dancing around to music which is both fun and exercise at the same time!
Also, just stick to a good healthy diet. Don't eat any junk foods and just have good fruit and veggies and salads and talk to your parents to about it so they can help you watch what you eat and can make you good dishes to eat with less fat and grease in it. Also, if you want, maybe at the end of the week you can have one snack to sort of reward yourself, but not a hugely fattening snack.
