You're going in October? You & your cousins could go to Halloween Horror Nights in the evening? At least then there's more to do then rides.

Universal Studios only has one rollercoaster & that's the mummy. Islands of Adventures is where the rollercoasters are. Have you asked your mom why she doesn't want you to go on anything? Find out the reasons. That's really where you'll find your answers too.

I think if your mum is still refusing you should just not tell her. What she doesn't know won't hurt her. You are 17 and at your age you can make these decisions for yourself. If you have no health problems I say go nuts and enjoy yourself. How often do you have an opportunity to do this.
Good luck

Ask your Mum if she means all the rides or just the 'dangerous' ones. There are a lot of easy rides that you can take and so much to see and do there. However, you are 17 and I think you should be able to judge for yourself if you consider a ride to be unsuitable for you.

I think you should also check that you have no health problems that would stop you from going on these rides.

Tell your Mum that you will listen to her request and ask her to trust you to weigh up all the options before taking a ride.

I hope that you have a wonderful time at Universal Studios. Enjoy!!

I really don't understand your mother's reasoning, but she sounds a bit unreasonable.

If she's really set in her ways, I don't think anybody can say anything to convince her otherwise.

But, I really don't understand the purpose of going to an amusement park and not being able to ride any of the rides. (unless it's due to a health issue)
