BFF'S...?
my friend, lets just call her stacy and i used to be inseperable. we were best friends, we would hang out everyday, cuz we were neighbors so we could. anyway, lately shes been hanging out with a popular girl, lets call her lily. so stacy has been hanging out with lily, and its really sad cuz she never hangs out with me anymore. and a couple weeks ago, she said she didnt want to be friends anymore because i was "clingy" and i wasnt clingy at all! but now we are kind of friends i guess, i mean, we talk and stuff. bt i just looked at her AIM profile and im not in it she has all her other friends except me. and shes not friends with any of her old ones, except me and i guess were not bestfriends anymore. and not she is really popular, and she ignores me during school, and lily is more important to her than i am. and, shes just not the same old stacy anymore. i want my old stacy back! i miss her so much! please! i need help!

They have always been shows about high schools reflecting this situation. Just wait it out, eventually the new friends won't be as good as her old friends, and keep the door of communication open. IM her every now & then, and say hi in the halls while you pass her.

Honestly, that's messed up. Don't waist your time on Stacy. She obviously wants to be popular and all that stupid crap, and my guess is, she think's she's too cool to talk to you anymore. Popularity isn't everything, I've realized that. It's better to have friends that care about you, and how you feel, and most important with being friends you should always have a good time. Don't worry about her, go out and meet other people. Just make sure you don't turn around and be rude to her after you stop talking to her, be as nice as you possibly can whenever nessacary. You know what I mean? You don't have to talk to her, but you should be nice to her, it shows people that you're a good person. I'm sorry you're friend has changed, I wish it could go back to the way it was, but you've got to realize that people will change, even if you don't like it, and friends also come and go. Don't waste the time trying. She has obviously become snobby and "lily" would have been the cause of the problem by telling her not to be friends with you or anyone else not in the popular circle. You could attempt to take her aside and tell her how you feel but I doubt it will do anything. Unfortunately popularity becomes tempting and gets into your head too much. In the end it will be stacey who comes crawling back to you begging for your friendship when lily finally rejects her. I have seen it before and its not pretty.

What she's doing to you is really rude. If she doesn't want to be friends, don't even bother anymore. You shouldn't beg her for it and if she wants to ditch and ignore you for someone else, let her. Just because this "popular" girl is all of the sudden if friends with her, she's letting it get to her head. She wants to impress Lilly and act cooler in front on her. You should talk to her one last time. She needs to understand that she's changed. I don't think she wants to admit it, but she has. You were always there for her, not Lilly. You guys were always best friends, not her and Lilly. Once Lilly ditches her for other people, she's going to realize how stupid and ignorant she's been acting. If she doesn't really care about what you have to say, she was never your real friend to begin with. Best friends wouldn't do that. I know for a fact that I would never hurt any of my friends like that and you shouldn't let her get to you. I know it's hard, but there's nothing you can do and it's not your fault.
